Colin Barcant studied civil engineering at MIT after which he moved back to Trinidad and began work at Chaguaramas Terminals. He was responsible for the development of the former Alcan Bauxite Marine Terminal into a multi usage Port for Breakbulk Cargo and the Offshore Oil &Gas Industry. He negotiated and managed contracts with Mobil, Enron, Exxon, BP, All Seas, McDermott and others. He started the entire concept of Crews Inn Marina, of which he was the project director. He was the project leader for design, build out and start up operation of full service marina & hotel.
He is also a former president of the Yacht Services industry association of T&T. In 2007 Colin went out on his own and has been working as consultant for potential Marina sites, doing work feasibility studies for the T&T government locally, as well as private projects throughout the Caribbean and Central America. He also represents SF Marina and has supplied and installed Marinas in Panama and Costa Rica. Colin also has a farm hobby business where he bottles and sells fresh goats milk, free range eggs, and other organic health products.
